If I can summarize this first class back from Winter Break in one word it would have to be A-MAZ-ING (is that three words?)! We had such a fantastic round-table discussion about the role of Teacher Leadership embedded into our daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals for our students, classroom, residents, and site-based school. We focused our conversation on the following key questions:
At the conclusion of class, I challenged the Teacher Leaders with the following prompt (for their reflection and discussion board for the next class meeting):
Focus on how you and your resident can develop effective coaching cycles based on their needs AND how to implement that plan based on your schedule (regardless if they are a First year or Final year in the program). Use these guiding questions to assist in your reflection:

- What have I learned (through research, coursework and experiences in this role)?
- What struggles AND successes have I experienced?
- Where do I want to go with my coaching (with my students, my resident and my peers)?
